ACCOUNTS CLERK

Full time accounts clerk required, mainly looking after the bought ledger, to work within our finance department, which prepares accounts for a group of companies including overseas subsidiaries. Candidates should have previous experience of working within an accounts environment, and would benefit from knowledge of computerised sales and purchase ledgers, Microsoft Office, Sage Instant accounts and BACS payments systems.

Berthon has opportunities for motivated young persons to join our apprenticeship program. You will receive on the job experience working on prestige private and commercial vessels coupled with City & Guilds and NVQ qualifications provided with the support of our training provider. IT SYSTEMS SUPPORT (TRAINEE)

Our dynamic and expanding business requires up-to-date, reliable and secure IT systems, and we are seeking a trustworthy and reliable person to assist full-time in the support and maintenance of these. This is a trainee position, and offers an excellent opportunity to gain a wide range of IT skills in our busy family-owned boatyard.

Duties will include: desktop computer set up and maintenance; network administration; database management and reporting; website maintenance; and first-line support to our computer users, of which we have around 50 in the UK, France and Spain.

Good computer literacy is essential for this position, but previous specific experience is not expected. You must however have a keen interest in IT as a career, the aptitude to quickly learn and apply new skills, and the personality to work well in our team.

PAINT FACILITIES MANAGER

Required to manage and oversee paint spraying at the UK's leading yacht repair shipyard. Applicants should have good background experience of sprayed paint systems, project management, administration and customer liaison.

YACHT AND MOTOR BOAT VALETER

Berthon Boat Company's Valeting and Boat Care Department requires conscientious workers.
Duties include: Initial valets to showroom standards to present boats for sale, and regular cleaning of berth holders' boats, including exterior polishing and interior valeting.
Attention to detail is imperative. We require people with a "let's find a way to achieve the desired result" attitude.
This is an expanding new department and we need reliable and hard working people. Training will be given.
